Version 2.4 is coming soon. It will be a free update for all registered users. Existing License key will work.
Changes include:
1) High resolution graphics. All piece sets (except Classic) are now hi-res.
2) The chess engine is faster by up to 60%.
3) Swipe (outside of chess board) left/right for shortcut to takeback/step forward.
4) Font sizes now better for large screen devices.
5) Support for Italian Language.
6) Bug fix. Clipboard did crash on some new tablet devices.

How to install
First make sure that your phone can install applications that are not from Android Market.
Settings->Applications->Unknown sources and Check it.
The easiest way to install is to browse to this page with your Android phone and click on the download link above. (This
does not work on all phones)
An alternative method is:
1) Download file above to your PC.
2) Connect phone to PC using USB cable. Ignore any messages on PC about "New hardware" and cancel them after USB cable
disconnected.
3) Allow PC to use the SD card in your phone as USB drive.
There will be a Notification "USB connected" (On Android home screen pull down notifications from top left) Select it and
then select "Mount"
4) On PC you will see a new USB drive. Copy "ChessGenPro-beta-ver.apk" to it.
5) On PC follow normal procedure to "Safely remove USB mass storage device" and disconnect USB cable.
6) On Android install ChessGenius.
File Manager-> Select SD card tab and tap on ChessGenPro-beta-ver.apk and follow prompts to install.
That's it.

Note: One beta tester reports that ChessGenius 2.4.0 and later
always forgets License Key and settings (like board color) after device is
switched Off and then On and ChessGenius restarted. Please contact richard@chessgenius.com
if you can reproduce this bug or if you have a Toshiba Folio tablet.
